I had an awesome weekend filled with some new experiences so i wanted to document it.
Went to Seaworld for the first tim in quite a few years & got a chance to hang with my oldest friends, Raspberry Roo (with Chorca & Zell). Had a great time, haven't hung out with Ras in years for ay signifigant length fo time, and never away from a con. It was nice being on her turf, gotting to see her rays and such. Been to the ray pool a few times, but never bothered to feed them there, only tiem i fed the rays was at Discovery Cove. She got us hooked up though and i fed them. it's fun getting your had slurped up by a ray hehe. Saw the new Dolphin show Blue Horizons, it was...differt, mostly high dives and birds then dolphin stuff, very artsy, taking all the fun of the prior key west theemd show away. We were rewarded by the apearence of their false killer whale though, the big black dolphin, aparent;y due to her age she doesn't do many shows any more, often just one day if even that. Last time I was at Seaworld they still had both, but lsot one a bit back. Beautiful critters. Ate a wonderful meal at sharks underwater grill, awesome food and atmosphere there, the discount certainly didn't hurt either. Only ate there once before with my father. Highly recomend it. It was really nice getting to connect with Roo again and hope it's going to continue to be a more common occurace.
Rode Manta!!!! While at Seaworld, I got to check out the new aquarium and the connected Roller coaster, Manta. it is Florida's only "Flying" coaster as fr as I know. OMG What a ride!!! we did it twice, oce front row, oce back row, waits were reasonable at 15 & 35 minutes. I love the upside down dive, thats pretty scary. The second time i rode it, I got a vicious leg cramp in my hip oooh that sucked, but still loved the ride.
Went to Mach's house warming party. Aparetly I'm not the only new home buyer, Mach got a new place of his own now, nice big peice of land, decent house, like mine, on the older side, interesting lay out. nice place. Mach, and his room mates Cessa and Onye were as always gracious hosts. Apart from a drink I made that tasted awesome but got all curdled due to the irsh creme, was an awesome night. Sitting & listeing to Simba is always a hilight He is pretty close to me, about 6 miles up the road.
Held my first Ferret!! While at Mach's I got to play with and Hold my first Ferret, Cessna & Onye have 2, their slinky lil things lol, they look so fun to play with adorable critters. really flexible. Seen ferrets, but never got to hold or pet one before. I like :)
unpacked 6 more boxes, including 2 that have been boxed since my LAST move almsot 5 years ao, containing my Full Sail books. It's ice watching the full boxes go down and thigns fall into place, if only temporaily, soem things once unboxed still need further organization, like the books. Going through my old Full Sail books, older Con books, older binders full of CAD drawings or renderings was fun too, nice to trigger plesent memories. I cleaned up my wires on my vanity lights too, tucked them behind the book case sheves. Much nicer :)
Played the tmnt turtles in time game for xbox. It is pretty sweetm,l has much of the spirit of the arcade games with new types of level's and way better graphics, ful 3d and neat attacks, nice upgrade and only 800 points :) Yay Xbox Live Arcade

Bedtime stories: This was a cute movie, kids were well played, I like Richard Attenborough, story is pretty nice and well played out, time well spent
Up: Pixar did it again, I was not expecting anything much from it, silly me, underestimating Pixar again. I couldn't see from the trailer how they were going to make the characters endearing, but they did, Once you understaind their motivatios, it all makes sence, well done Pixar
Surrogets: Interesting movie, more or less what I was expecting, good premese and story arks, had a few surprizes but nothing that came so far out of left feild as to be totally unexpected. I liked it.
G-force: It's cute and has talking anthro Guinea pigs beating stuff up :) What could be more fun, and thats all this is, just a fun movie, nothing special, but a good fun cute watch.

ok so this is seriously, seriously weird shit. I was cutting cooking info I found & pasting it into an email, and when I went to paste it, this is what came up:

who shows up on someone's doorstep, all banging on their door at 1 am, eyes all bloodshot, looking for "jerry"? Welcome to philly!
1. everyone that plays in the 30-39 bracket in the Vindication battlegroup is a complete and utter faggot.
2. Leveling on a pvp server is surprisingly really easy in your 30-45's, at least as long as you spend most of your time on kalimdor & avoid eastern kingdoms like the plague. STV is full of gnome rogues with nothing to do.
3. Deathknights have no place in the 51-60 battlegrounds. they're scaled/tuned way to high for other classes to even pose a threat, & just ruin everyone's good time. They should be barred from pvp until they're 60. or better yet give them their own Battleground so they can entertain each other with their endearing shitbaggery.
4. I made 1200g leveling mining from 260 - 350. I never knew, I NEVER KNEW D:!!

Inidentally, Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor is -REALLY FUCKING GOOD-. I'm enjoying it as much as the first season, which really says alot.
DtB is one of the best shows BONES has done since Eureka 7. Gemini is maybe my favorite out of the fall line-up thus far.

As promised:
VEGAN CHEESE PIZZA RECIPE
(makes enough for 3 small pizzas) will have to take more
accurate mesurements later, but for now, based on eyeball,
I used somewhere in the neighborhood of:
1/4 cup rice dream
3 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp soysauce
2 spoon scoops tofutti
3 spoon scoops tahini
dash of turmeric (for color)
dash of chili powder
1tsp garlic powder (add to taste)
2 spoonful white flour
3 spoonfuls nutritional yeast
(**Spoonful = large soup spoon)
Preparation:
In a cereal sized bowl, fill with the ricedream, soy sauce, & lime juice.
Spoon in the Toffuti & tahini. Microwave for 1 minute.
Stir the heated ingredients vigorously until it all disolves together. stir
in salt, turmeric, chili, & garlic powder. Stir in Flour. Upon adding the
flour you'll notice it start to thicken up, but it will still be fairly
saucy consistency. While stirring, add in spoonfuls of nutritional yeast
till a thick consistency is reached.
Taste often, & add Tahini/salt/garlic powder as you deem fit. you don't
want either to be too overwhelming in taste, but want a happy balance
between the 3.
chill for a few hours (I chill it overnight) to firm up the mixture. When
firmed, it should have the consistency of cream cheese. use a spoon to
apply to your pizzas, & the spoon back to smooth the mixture over your
crust.
Cooking:
Bake at 375 for 20 minutes, or until the cheese
starts to brown a little bit. serve immediately.
Crust:
I use Kontos brand 'Rhogani Nan'. you can get it at pretty much any
middle eastern grocery, or Wegmans. it's egg & dairy free. I reccomend
brusthin both sides with olive oil. it helps the crust crisp up, & adds more
flavor to your pizzas.
Sauce:
You can make your own, but for brevity, I use pasta sauce. My fave
is Pellicano's Dandelion greens pasta sauce. it's really tasty, & adds
to the overall flavor

Well, they are doing something different with this incision in my tow. Last time, they spent almost two weeks just cleaning it and packing it with antiseptic and changeling the bandages every other day to let it close on its own as much as possible. Once it got to the point it wasn't going to close anymore on its own, they filled the cavity with a granular filler and covered it with an artificial skin graft which incorporated itself naturally into my foot as it continued to heal. That where I was when they decided they had to open me up again: The wound was fully closed, and the skin graft had taken an d pretty much been absorbed by my foot so everything was closed up and looking pretty good.
Well, when they operated on my foot this time, all that filler and stuff was removed so they could get at the bone again, so I was back to having a hole in my foot, in the same place as before. It was about 75% the size of the previous one. but just as deep -- it went right down to the bone. I expressed how upset I was at having to star the whole 3-4 month ordeal of getting this wound to close again, and so they are trying something different. Now that it has been a bit since the surgery, and there is no sign of complications, they have been cleaning out the wound, and they have started to pack it with an artificial skin replacement. This stuff comes out of the package looking like sheets of foam about 2/16 of an inch thick and kinda squishy. The doctor cuts it into small strips and packs it into the wound (rather firmly). This stuff is supposed to also be incorporated into the foot as the wound heals, and help close it up quicker. They put the first "layer" in Monday, and the second in today. Each application and the hole gets noticeably smaller. Hopefully this works.

I loved it. ^^ I drove over to Seattle to be with Zhim from Friday to early Monday morning. Friday we took a nice walk along the river by his house, went to his parents' home to babysit their three dogs (two new puppies!! So cute) for a bit, then came back to eat the dinner we'd cooked earlier. Saturday, Halloween proper, we went to a small party at his friend's condo. Zhim and one of the hosts mixed drinks, then Crystal (the only other girl - they know about me) and I chatted about books 'n stuff while sharing Tequila Sunrises and this great cranberry juice/grenadine drink and the boys watched monster movies. Then Sunday we all went down to the shooting range, where I shot Zhim's Mosin-Nagant for the first time. I kept the first four shells, as well as a few of the targets I used. I also got great grouping with Crystal's .22 pistol. :D
Then I made the drive back early Monday morning (and I mean *early* - like 4 AM) to arrive back in Missoula in time for my class that afternoon. But bleh, I wasn't ready for my little vacation to be over. I'll be going back for Thanksgiving (my holiday's too short to go back home) though, and everyone's very excited about getting to see me again. I know I am about seeing them again too. :)
Notes: I need to get two books off Amazon at some point - Illusions: the Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah and Guilty Pleasures. :>

I've achieved the dream: VEGAN CHEESE PIZZA that doesn't taste awful.
Quite on accident, I discovered this morning a way to make Vegan 'Cheese'
topping suitable for making pizzas. I've been working on a vegan 'cheese'
cream sauce to use with pasta or raviolis for the better part of the last
year or two. Since vegan pasta dishes or raviolis are often my easy comfort
foods for if I want to make something quick that will cover my basic diet
needs, I've been trying to perfect a cream sauce that can be made in less
than 5 minutes of prep time.
Last night I experimented with my sauce using a few variations I almost
never use, and ended up with way too much. I figured I might as well save
it and use some of it the next day for something, but when I woke up this
morning, I found that the mixture had solidified to almost a thick cream
cheese consistency.
Using some Egg & dairy free Nan bread as the crust, I brushed it down with
olive oil, & then layered some Pellicano's Dandelion pasta sauce, garlic,
& fesh ground pepper over that. Using a spoon, I spread bits of the 'cheese'
topping pver this, and popped it in the oven. Much to my surprise. it not
only melted, but it browned in the oven! This is something that commercially
available fake cheese can't even do.
the end result was nothing short of spectacular, it tastes amazing. Success!!
I'm going to make it again with some TVP faux chicken, sun dried tomatoes,
peppers, & red onions. woohoo!
( Some delicious photos under the cut!! )

So I can fly to MFF for about $270. To do so, would require no use of vacatio,
So ultimatly the questions become:
1) is an excursion to mff from a friday afteroon about 2:30 pm to about noon on Sunday run worth the expense and effort
2) would I have a place to sleep, preferably cheap to free if I did

We're finally fully out of the apt , turned our keys in, gave away, threw out or took everything, even got the place far cleaner then I expected both between the back breakign work of my room mate, and the maids we hired. glad to close that chapter of my life, and not look back. As fr as bills from there, got the final electric bill, about $95, and then the oly other unknown is what will happen with the appartment. There were some damage done, and parts that either didn't coem clea, or wasn't cleaned due to lack fo time, equipment or protection. So we'll see what happens regarding a final bill from the complex.
New place, is kinda a mess right now, lots fo last minute moving and other business has pretty well cluttered the place upthings still need to find perminate homes, i guess little by little over the next few weeks will get that cleaned up. Made the first mortage payment, got our couches, they look great and are really comfoprtable, certainly fill the room up though. Livinng room is pretty well set up, all the A/V is in place, hooked up & working, eve mounted the speakers, still gota get the ceter on a shell and get a ceilig fan and soem lighting controlls, but it's fully useable clean and uncluttered. biggest issue right now is the kitchen area.
Furloween was fun, had a good time, got to hang with my friends and suit a fair bit, picnic the following day was nice too, a little borig, didn't have much to do or many to hang out with but it was a ice day to hang outside with a few close friends and a bunch of strangers :)

Got the paperowkr for the 8ki tax rebate in, thansk to my room mate, hope to ee that money sooner rather then later so ic an take care of a few things, mixed candy should be asking me for final payment here soon., it would be nice to pull from that source vs credit.

We (Lore and Vair) have a room available for rent in our apartment in Winter Park (Orlando). It's located just south of 436 (Semoran) and Howell Branch Rd. The apartment is a 2 bed 1 1/2 bath one floor with only one neighbor. The room is 11' 5" x 10' 11" with a fairly large closet and has yet to be been lived in. We're asking $325/month for the room. Bills will be split evenly among all people in the house (Electric, Cable Internet, and Water&Sewage).
I tend to cook meals for the household. If you'd like, we could work out a monthly allotment for food. If not, then we can divide up food space.
The living room is well situated with a big couch and love-seat, an HD TV and both a 360 and PS3. We have various board and card games. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with cooking appliances and most cooking needs you might have. We're looking for someone or a pair of people who understand common respect to take the room. If you'd like to see it or have any questions I will screen comments for this post and you can leave contact info and any questions you might have.

I tend to cook meals for the household. If you'd like, we could work out a monthly allotment for food. If not, then we can divide up food space.
The living room is well situated with a big couch and love-seat, an HD TV and both a 360 and PS3. We have various board and card games. EDIT: If you're reading this, our maintenance is OVER! The problem was not found on our equipment, which means we'll have to work with our ISP to fix this small problem -- which also means another maintenance window in the future -- but at least we have eliminated our side.
Thank you everyone, and a special shout out to
rekoil for giving me a great suggestion AND also the opportunity to feel like I've just called in to a local radio station.
Have a great day, night or afternoon wherever you may be.

Hi everyone, sorry for the late notice but I'm going to have to do some testing on 1 of our 4 internet circuits TONIGHT; Friday night or Saturday morning depending on which time zone you're in.
Most of us shouldn't notice any impact, though there may be some slowness or lag when I switch traffic on to our other ISP circuits and then another hit when I stop the tests. If a page won't load or times out, try hitting refresh 1 or 2 times and it should load then. If it doesn't work at all... trust me, I'll be typing really really really fast to try to undo whatever I just did. Hopefully you'll have some Halloween candy (if you're in the USA and celebrate that kind of thing) nearby to take away the bitterness of a small site outage. :(
Here's the handy-dandy Website That I Always Use to get a feel for when the maintenance will start in your area. Our site traffic historically dips on Friday afternoons until Saturday morning which is why we tend to pick this time for maintenance work.

status.livejournal.org will, of course be updated before and after the maintenance window. Or else
marta will get mad at me. :D
